The '86 Traded set was so great, just so many iconic cards you could choose from in that set. As for the regular set, I remember when I got this set (I was 10) that I was captivated by Valentine (because I never knew someone could have the same name as the holiday) and Bamburger (because it sounded like hamburger.
I like having the Pete Rose #1 card in there. I'd pull the Sandberg and go with Bonds XRC from Traded. Also, the Tony Perez card is cool - has him and Eric Davis after Tony scored a run.
Man, the Bo Jackson 86T was really high in the Topps 60 - may make sense to include that here. I'd say Canseco, Bonds, Jackson from 86 Traded, and then Rose and Razor from the base set
If you want to nominate cards that you don't see on any of the posts, feel free to include them here. Up to five cards (there has to be a limit) will be added to the existing five cards when it comes time to vote.
By then, the comments will be closed for nominations, and it will be time to put everything to a vote.
I like Rose's regular card, but think the record breaker is more iconic because it actually captures the moment of breaking Cobb's record.

ReplyDeleteRazor? No.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to go on the name, you have to go with Joe DeSa from this set.
