I like the Boggs card with the view looking up into the clouds. Also, the Mattingly was big because of the error version - only 10 hits the year before.
get chipper out of there. those cards that featured guys in high school and college uniforms were part of what turned me off to the hobby in the early 90s.
I love the cards you picked. I'd love to put the Boggs in, but don't have a card I'd pull from those 5. I strongly think leave the Chipper in - that's the RC of the 1st overall pick - was a big card back in the day.
The Sandberg card from '91 is one of my all-time favorites: Ryno with a solid swing with the catcher and ump both in the shot on a sunny day at Wrigley. Great work!
If you want to nominate cards that you don't see on any of the posts, feel free to include them here. Up to five cards (there has to be a limit) will be added to the existing five cards when it comes time to vote.
By then, the comments will be closed for nominations, and it will be time to put everything to a vote.

ReplyDeleteExcellent choices for 91. I was going to suggest Fisk and Santiago if you didn't have them in there already.
